Ideology and binary opposition

1) Watch this clip from BBC Question Time with Russell Brand and Nigel Farage. The BBC deliberately placed the two against each other and the episode resulted in far more people watching and tweeting than usual. What examples of  binary opposition  can you suggest from watching this clip? The two opposition Russell Brand & Nigel Farage are discussing about if there is a problem with our immigration policys. Nigal Farage has a very right wing approach and blames the immigration's for all the problems faced by the country because of it. Audience Pleasures: The Battle of the Christmas Advert

1) Which do you think is the most appealing and why? Try to use some of our audience theory in your answer.  In my opinion, the M&S is the moat appealing. This is because, they both include Santa Claus which the audience can  reminisce  about their childhood. 3) Choose a different advert and identify the target audience for the advert. Answer in terms of demography and psychogra

Not always negative - Colossus. He is one of the Helpers that helps Deadpool defeat the villains. He is seen as being muscular Russian. Not always about the less powerful (Politicians are corrupt) Can be about our own social groups-Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She is one of the helpers. Young people are extremely into social media. This is because the Internet allows them to connect to other people with the same interest. This part is seen at 2:16 Not always false- The superhero Deadpool finds the princess Copycat at the end to be reunited again. This is not in the trailer but is in the ending of the movie. We see this in most superhero movies as the audience expects a happy ending in all films. Can change over time- We see women in both hero and villain roles. Before we only saw woman in a support rol
