Narrative concept

Deadpool

Todorov's equilibrium:
From the the first few seconds, there is a equilibrium as there is harmony and they haven’t encountered any trouble. As the three characters on shot are walking towards a fight with confidence and the editing used to make it slow motion show the audience that they are in harmony. However, at 00:12 seconds, from the mise en scene of the facial express, you can tell something has gone wrong. The disequilibrium is the moment that they find out that they have forgotten their equipment in the taxi. This disruption will slightly confuse the audience  and create the mystery of what will happen next as it does not follow the general happy ending. There is also  another disequilibrium of the driver getting in a car crash and the victim in his trunk shouting. This will make the audience feel that there is no hope for for the 3 hero in the beginning of the scene. From this clip there aren't any new equilibrium as it happened after this clip when they win the fight and get the girl back.
Barthes' action and enigma codes
In this clip, their are a lot of enigma codes to create mystery and keep the audience interested. The first enigma code is the three main characters that are walking is slow motion. This is a enigma code as most slow motion editing is used mostly before something important happen on a storyline. It is mostly used in action movie as well as sci-fi movie before the hero defeats the villain. At 00:20 seconds, the driver drops the phone which the audience can suggest that he is anxious, after this the action code of him crashing the car reinforce that he anxious and the audience find out why when they hear someone screaming at the back of the car. An action code is is a event that is important for the narrative to carry on. Another enigma code is when people appear with guns so the audience will think that something is about to start.Afterwards, there is a action when the women, a villain, hit one of the three character, the hero's, on the face which will start fight and the audience can denote that.
Propp's stock characters
From this very short clip from the movie, the audience can find out where the characters belong to Propp's stock characters

The Donor: The taxi driver
The Helper:  Colossus(metal man) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead(teen girl on the left).

The Dispatcher: Deadpool sent himself

The False Hero: The doctor in the beginning of the movie

The big bang theory
Todorov's equilibrium:
Because this is a TV series, it will have Todorov's equilibrium theory in every episode they produce to keep audience happy. They will have a different equilibrium ,disequilibrium and  new equilibrium every episode but have a storyline through the seasons so audiences come back to watch. They have a lot of cliffhangers and disequilibrium through the season as well. From the the first few seconds, there is a equilibrium as there is harmony and they haven’t encountered any trouble. When they are setting down and Sheldon is introducing his girlfriend, there is nothing wrong. The disequilibrium is the moment that Sheldon's girlfriend, Amy, says that his work isn't important. This disruption will slightly confuse the audience  and create the mystery of what will happen next as Sheldon response. You can tell from his facial expression that he didn't like the comment. From this clip, you cannot see any new equilibrium as it will happened after that clip of ad break.
Barthes' action and enigma codes
In TV shows, they have a lot of enigma and action codes to keep audiences interested as in TV there’re Ad breaks. Beause of this, they tend to use an excess amount of these codes that sometimes doen’t work and keep the audince uninterested. However, this is only becuase there is so much enteriment around the audience that they can choose from and most people in the mordern day have very low attendance spand. In this clip, there aren't a lot of enigma and action codes to create mystery and keep the audience interested. An action code is a event that is important for the narrative to carry on.  An enigma code is to keep people watching interested. The first enigma code is when sheldon's girlfriend says that his work is pointless. This creates a lot of tension to grab the audience. There isn’t a clear action code but Amy leaving the table could set the narrative of the episode which is about them disagreeing. This can expand to more episodes to develop the characters conflict to interg audiences.
Propp's stock characters
From this very short clip from the show, the audience can find out where some of the characters belong to Propp's stock characters. However, this can change with different episodes and season as they bring new people in and out.

The Villain: it will very on the episode, Amy is seen to be a villiain for disagreeing but can be Sheldon too
The Donor: no one helps him
The Helper: no Helper
The Princess: Sheldon
The Dispatcher: none
The Hero: could be both Amy and Sheldon
The False Hero: Amy as she was was normal at the start of the clip but disagreed with Sheldon that started the fight
