Men’s Health interview
1) Identify the target audience (demographics/psychographics) for this magazine. How is that particular audience attracted?

The target audience for Men Health is more male as it would talk more about how men could get in better shape. It is likely to be middle/upper class as they are the ones that can afford to spend money on gym memberships, healthier food and gym products. They care more about appearance as they are most likely to be working in educated jobs that you need to look good for such as suits. You can tell this from the pictures used as he is in a suit. It also has the prices of the clothing he is wearing which would  interest the middle / upper class. The age range for this magazine is 29 to 40 years old as these is the age that most male care about their appearance.

2) Does the article do more than just entertain? How? (Think of Uses and Gratifications theory) What audience pleasures does the article offer?

This articles does entertain but also give advice to the audience. Firstly, the interview does talk a little about why Plan B made the movie and how it could help the middle or upper class figure out why children from those area are acting the way they are. Than it goes straight to why he wanted to lose weight and how he did that. This give the audience some sort of surveillance to why he is doing this. Because of this, the audience gets what they came for as well as Plan B being able to advertise his movie a little bit.

 3) What codes/conventions of print interviews can you find in the article?

 The first convention is Title of publication. It is on the top right and is separated from everything else so it stands out. The tile of the article is "MH interview:PlanB". They write "MH" to show consumers that the information is exclusively for Men Health only. The font used is very simple so it looks very formal and fits the brands ideology.

4) How is narrative used to tell a story in each interview? Clue: what is it that keeps the reader interested in the article to the very end?

The articles has sub-headings that allows the audiences to know exactly what they are reading about. It also helps the audience find the piece of information they want faster. In additions, it also has prices of the clothingt he is wearing below the picture which is interesting to some of the consumers.

5) What synergy can you find between this text and the broadcast examples we have studied so far?

Both talk about how to inspire children from difficult background and why they are behaving in that way. However, in MH it talks more about health so it could relate more to the target market of MH.

NME Magazine interview 1) Identify the target audience (demographics/psychographics) for this magazine. How is that particular audience attracted?

The target audience for NME Magazine is likely to be people are interested in music and have an open mind to different types of music. This is because NME publish  anti-established music that is not main stream. The age range of This magazine is likely to be 20 to 30 years old. This is because we stereotype young people listen to rap and other urban types of music that isn't the typical main stream music.In addition, the magazine uses swear words and the text is informal which is likely interest young adults.

2) Does the article do more than just entertain? How? (Think of Uses and Gratifications theory) What audience pleasures does the article offer?

This magazine does entertains as Plan B talks about his opinions on David Cameron. This magazine also give information on why he think David Cameron is ruining the lives of many children living in working class family. He talks about How the riots happen and how David Cameron contributed. 

3) What codes/conventions of print interviews can you find in the article?

The slogan used is very forward and it integers the audiences. It tells the audience that Plan B is going to tell them the truth about David Cameron and how he has lied to the public about the area surrounding the Olympic Stadium.

4) How is narrative used to tell a story in each interview?

 Clue: what is it that keeps the reader interested in the article to the very end?There are two main parts, the talk about the riots and his opinions. Than about the release dates of this movie and music. 

5) What synergy can you find between this text and the broadcast examples we have studied so far?

The main synergy is the clothing and the body language of PlanB. He is seen in the broadcast in the same urban clothes and him swearing. 

Guardian interview 1) Identify the target audience (demographics/psychographics) for this magazine. How is that particular audience attracted?

The target audience for The Guardian is mostly educated people. It also is mostly toward an older audience which a left wing approach. It is viewed by both genders and is for people that are interested in world issue as well as mainly British issues. 

2) Does the article do more than just entertain? How? (Think of Uses and Gratifications theory) What audience pleasures does the article offer?

It has hyperlinks to keywords that take you to a article to give you more information. This allows the audience to interact with the news. They also have comments to voice your opinion and read other people opinion.

3) What codes/conventions of print interviews can you find in the article? 

They have used quotes to show that the information is not bias. 

4) How is narrative used to tell a story in each interview? Clue: what is it that keeps the readerinterested in the article to the very end?

 The articles is more personal than other interviews which could keep the audiences interested. It talks about the hardships of life and how not being able to afford necessary things and how painful that was.

5) What synergy can you find between this text and the broadcast examples we have studied so far?

The biggest link is how he created to movie about the aarea that he grew in and how hard that was.
